隨著桃猿在今天之後即將進入「後鋒炮時代」，受到陳金鋒欽點的王柏融，無疑是之後將繼續扛起Lamigo大旗的關鍵人物，而他在本季也用一項項可怕的打擊成績來回應質疑，在今天的比賽中，他也在3局下敲出本季第177支安打，正式超越威納斯，成為單季安打紀錄的保持人。
「我就是專注在每一個打擊上，把每一次揮擊都做好，不要去理會結果論，把自己最好的展現出來就對了。」王柏融賽後接受訪問時說。
球隊老大哥陳金鋒今天舉辦引退戰，但最後球隊卻沒能獲勝，會不會因此有些遺憾？王柏融表示，大家都盡力了，不會因為輸了一場球就喪志，未來會繼續加油，希望能打進季後賽。
